Tonight at mando meal:
"Have you seen models from back then, sir? Wide hips were hot stuff; they were really popular...like tomagotchi, sir."
I lost it at that point in the conversation. I think it made up for the horrid, lightly chilled block of chicken we had rather than the delicious brisket sandwich I had anticipated.

There's nothing wrong with wide hips. There is something questionable about the comparison to tomagotchi in the 1930s.
Your right, King Hall probably doesn't have delicious brisket, but I'm betting it's better than cold block-of-chicken. I've been needing a bbq sandwich for about a week and a half now, and I can't wait to go home and get one.
